Current projects
I’m a professional artist. I gained social recognition with my integrations of glass, stained glass, and granite into architecture. Using glass as my primary medium throughout my career, I have always worked my models and drawings with watercolour. Its transparency and luminosity lend itself to the effect of glass. I have also participated in several exhibitions and have had a few my own exibitions of drawings, sculptures and glass pieces.
During the last twelve years, I have spent my free time on pleasure boats. These trips on the water have become my source of inspiration: the boat sailing in a time-space. The boat becomes the vehicle of my feelings and emotions. I mainly expressed myself with the medium watercolour to create my drawings. The dominant colours of my palette are yellow and blue. Through this research, I offer infinite variations on my theme. Each drawing represents a different emotion. The boat, sometimes in movement, in power, announces the action that is about to happen.
I also continued this research by using acrylic, making some large canvases. I chose nine of my watercolour drawings and used them as models to make translucent paintings using my epoxy lamined technique with antique glass.
